New York Masonic District Website Focuses on Masons Helping

The Fifth Manhattan Masonic District Association of New York
launches a community portal to serve as resources for New York
Masonic Lodges.
NEW YORK, NY - October 10 2003 - The Fifth Manhattan Masonic
District Association of the Grand Lodge of the State of New York
Free and Accepted Masons created a new strategic initiative
centering on Communication and on Masons Helping Masons. In support
of this new initiative, the association developed a web portal to
serve as a platform for communications and information sharing among
the lodges in the district.
Located at
www.FifthManhattan.com, the site features an email mailing
list, a full news section and lots of information and a public
documents area. There is also a section with information on all
district lodges. A dynamic bulletin board application is slated for
implementation in 2004. This application will allow registered users
to post classifieds in a Masonic marketplace.
Alberto Camacho, District Staff Officer, said that the website
would help to gather all the lodges and link members at a new level.
