Madison Historical Society Project Update
posted 12:22:00 PM | archive
This is a follow-up to our discussion last evening regarding the project to confirm our conclusions and provide documentation that was previously sent to everyone as a reminder. Dr. Edwards clearly laid out the timeline and roles of interns as well as those of my students. Careful digestion of the information she had provided weeks ago will enable everyone to stay on target. This timeline must be respected and students are expected to complete transcripts as explained by Justin Starnes last evening.
My expectations from my students are clearly laid out in the syllabus. This interview will count as one of the three required for the final seminar paper, and the information gathered must be applied in manner necessary to respond to the priorities of the seminar. A simple reproduction of the MHS interview transcript is not appropriate and will not be accepted. On March 23rd, seminar students will have completed their involvement with the MHS project. It is expected that only quality work will be produced and submitted.
As ambassadors for Drew University, you are assuming an important role on behalf of our institution and we [Dr. Edwards, Dr. Greenwald, Mrs. Peek/MHS and myself] are here to provide you whatever timely support that you need. It is expected that everything will be completed and submitted to Mrs. Peek by the end of next week, according to the timeline presented by Dr. Edwards.
This is an exciting opportunity for cooperation between the University and Madison. I have no doubt that my students will make us proud! As always, I remain available for questions.
Updated MHS Project Information is on Bulletin boardDr. Murphy.
